Give our office a call at 330-253-5400 during office hours so that we may assist you. Office hours are M-F 8am-10pm and weekends and holidays 9am-9pm. Read more details in our Room Availability section about securing a room. Please note that due to the extensive growth of the hospital and need for our services we are full with a Waiting List daily.
We ask each family for a $10 per night donation to help cover operating costs. However, no one is ever turned away due to the inability to cover that donation.
The amount of time on the Waiting List varies greatly. We are never sure when to expect our current guests to be discharged which makes your wait time hard to predict. If you are on the Waiting List feel free to call our office daily to check status.
We can check you in on your day of arrival between the hours of 9am-8pm. If your check-in early and your room is not ready, we can store your items securely. If your travel plan requires that you check-in outside of those hours please let us know so we can make arrangements to accommodate your schedule.
If you arrive for a reservation you are welcome to stay with us if your child is admitted or receiving long-term treatment at Akron Children’s Hospital. If you come off of our wait list, we will update you daily on the status of your room. Eventually all Wait List families do end up moving up the schedule so that they can keep their room as long as needed. Please see Room Availability for more details.
