Mom and dad eating dinner

Feeding our families from the heart.

Thanks to generous donors, restaurants, caterers and volunteer cooks, we provide our families a fully prepared hot meal every night of the week. Check out our Restaurant, Caterer and Cook List to see who has helped support this important part of our mission.

There are many ways for you to get involved with our Meal Program. Learn about our regularly scheduled Meal Prep Volunteers or consider preparing specific scheduled meals based on your availability.

  • Dinner: We have a pre-scheduled, 5:30 pm dinner planned for each night of the week for our residents. That meal is planned to provide enough food for 45 to 55 people. We schedule our dinners several months in advance.
  • Lunch: If the dinner option does not fit with your plans, you could also consider providing a lunch for our families. This meal is not regularly scheduled and is usually based on leftovers and items from our pantry that families prepare themselves. A scheduled lunch is promoted a day or two in advance so families are aware that a lunch will be provided. Lunch is usually based on feeding 20 to 25 people and is scheduled around 12 noon.
  • Breakfast/Brunch: Weekend or holidays are a good day to consider providing a breakfast or brunch. If a special breakfast/brunch is scheduled, we will inform our families in advance. This meal is usually planned for 20 to 25 people and is set out sometime between 9:00 and 10:00 am.

Our food program guidelines require any food to be prepared on-site, purchased at a grocery store or restaurant, or prepared in a commercial-style health-inspected kitchen and delivered. Our kitchen can accommodate groups of 2 to 6 people when preparing meals. We can assist in the planning of your meal and also invite you in to take a tour of the kitchen area prior to your scheduled date.
